Artist statement
1. The name of my artwork is called "Don" inspired by the lead character on the TV show "Mad Men".
2. I created this project using Mosaic Portrait instruction, drawing my character then gluing him on to a background with elements and principles of art.
3. During this project I learned how to specifically decorate a background, while practicing my contour lines, and scale drawings.
4. My favorite part was seeing it come to all together, after I worked hard on perfect the original drawing.
5. If I could change anything I would use my second design instead of the first due to its creativity.
6. While creating this project I was surprised to see how it came together, because originally I didn't believe my project would turn out like the examples I saw at the beginning of creation.
7. Something else I want to let be known about this portrait is that Don Draper is a dull man on the outside but he background depicts his inside, and bright and vibrant attitude with many different textures.
